The Do's and Don'ts of Packing For Europe

The Do's and Don'ts of Packing For Europe

Whether you’re going to Paris, London, or Rome, travelling to Europe for the first time in your life is one of the most exciting moments of your life. Europe is the continent of fairy tales, fashion, and love. Not only have the fashion world’s best known designers all hailed from Europe, Europeans themselves are known for their cutting edge tastes, presentable appearances, and chic looks. It can be intimidating to think about all of these things but there’s actually nothing to be scared of. With a few guidelines you’re sure to pack a suitcase that’s full of outfits that would make most Europeans jealous. The key thing to remember is that the main difference between the way Americans and Europeans dress is a sense of decorum in public. Wherever Europeans go, whether it’s just to the grocery store they make sure that they look presentable. Here’s what we recommend bringing with you to Europe.

1. A mix of dresses and pants

Do you have certain dresses in your closet that you love but rarely get to wear because you think they’re too fancy? Well bring them with you because if you’re not going to wear them in Europe where else will you wear them?! Make sure to bring tights with you in case the weather is chilly. Also bring some jeans with you so that you don’t feel over dressed for certain casual occasions. Whatever you decide to bring, make sure it’s what you feel the most confident in!

2. Blazers and Scarves

We love both of these items because as soon as you throw them on your outfit transforms from average to gorgeous in a matter of seconds. Scarves are so popular in Europe as are blazers. Most European brands like H&M and Zara always have a huge stock of both items available in their stores so you can pick some up there if you’d prefer!

3. Comfortable but Cute Shoes

When you’re packing your shoes you don’t have settle for style or comfort, you can easily have both! Find some stylish flats that you think will be easy to walk around in. You will most likely be doing a great deal of walking on your visit so you want to make sure that your shoes are comfortable. You can also look for booties with short heels that are easy to walk around in.
